Makeup artist Crystal Liz demonstrates a look that’s soft enough for the office, but still sultry for a night out, as modeled by Nicole Zimmerman. A look from our Class Act Persona.

MUSE

Blake Lively at the premiere of Cafe Society at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

WHERE TO WEAR

Working lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

WHAT TO WEAR

A plaid Jenni Kayne blouse with coordinating navy Victoria Beckham flare trousers.

FACE

Apply Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick all over using a damp BeautyBlender. It’s the perfect high coverage, flawless finish that a look like this needs, without being cakey. If you still need concealing, take a firm, small brush and use it to dab the foundation on any spots. To bring some life back into your face now that it’s all one color, apply a rose shade like NARS Blush in Outlaw higher up on the cheeks, close to your temples.

EYES

For a warm eye look, layer Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium all over the lid before applying Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow in Birkin in the crease and on upper and lower lash line, blending up and out to lift the eye. Using a stiff liner brush, apply a black gel liner like AMC Eyeliner Gel in 77 only on the outer corner, not all over the lash line, lightly smudging up and out at the edges. To make the look more cohesive, add a bit of the NARS blush color from your cheeks to your lid. Top it off with a few coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara, focusing most of the color at the root for higher impact.

LIPS

Finish with a nude lip tint, courtesy here of Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in Nude No. 5. It’s a shimmer finish golden nude crayon, making it perfect to throw in your bag for touchups all day (and night).
