WHAT TO WEAR
This is a little late to the game, but Gigi Hadid’s glam team has really mastered the wearable red carpet look. Even when she’s dolled up, somehow, you feel like you too could be just as bronzey and glowy as her, although I’m sure part of that is genetics. Anyway, her 2016 AMA red carpet look, which just screamed versatility, was a no-brainer to feature for our Summer Savage Persona, but we decided to take it a step further and cast it onto a model Kiana Michelle, who looks nothing like Hadid, to prove the point.
After prepping the face with your usual foundation, bronzer, and highlighter routine, sweep the bottom left shade of Kevyn Aucoin’s The Essential Eyeshadow Palette all over the lid with a fluffy brush, then define the crease with the bottom middle shade, sweeping back and forth to blend out any harsh lines. Connecting the same color to along bottom lashes using a smudger brush gives the look a cohesive feel. Extra points for applying the top left shade from the palette in the inner corners! For another layer of drama, tight line the top and bottom lashes with Charlotte Tilbury’s Rock ‘N Kohl Liner in Bedroom Black and finish with a few healthy coats of Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara.
Of course, a lip color this good isn’t something you can get straight from the tube. Hadid’s makeup artist Erin Parsons applied Maybelline New York Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color in All Fired Up in one opaque layer, plus Maybelline New York Color Sensational The Loaded Bold Lipsticks in Nude Thrill tapped with your finger in the center over that. The combination of cool blue-red and warm beige creates a coral hue that looks good on everyone. Trust.
