Beachy, effortless waves and glowing, bronzed skin were the name of the game for Ashley Tisdale’s June cover shoot. Below, Tonya Brewer and Ryan Richman explain how to get the look

MAKEUP BY TONYA BREWER

To create a luminous base, apply Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, then contour using the bronzer from Illuminate’s Beach Goddess Palette.

Using your fingers, dot Illuminate’s Cream Cheek and Lip Tint in Cabana onto your cheeks for a healthy look.

Depending on how dark you like your eyes to be, use a combination of shadows from the Illuminate Night Goddess Palette to create a smokey eye, then coat lashes with Marc Jacobs O!mega Lash Volumizing Mascara. For a more dramatic look, apply Ardell Individual Eyelashes as needed.

Blend Illuminate’s Cream Cheek and Lip Tint in Coco onto the lips, then finish with a swipe of Illuminate Lip Gloss in Skinny Dipping.

HAIR BY RYAN RICHMAN

“On towel dried hair, I used a few pumps of Kérasrase Sérum Oléo Relax to tame frizz and to make the hair soft. I then blow dried her hair using a boar bristle round brush in large sections.

To create the waves, I used a GHD Curve Soft Curl Iron, holding the iron vertically, twisting all the hair around the iron and sliding the iron downward as I went to create a cool, beachy texture. After curling each section, I sprayed with Healthy Sexy Hair Soya Want Full Hair Firm Hold Hairspray, which I love because it’s not tacky and gives the hair body and shine.

To finish, I used R+Co Conformist Hair Paste, which gives the hair pliability and lots of texture. I put a dime sized amount of Conformist in the palms of my hands, and I ran it through the hair starting at the scalp and shaking out the wave as I worked the product through the ends.”
